I was inspired to start Tails Wagging back in 2006 when it became obvious that one of my dalmatians was terrified of being boarded. She’d always been a sensitive dog, skittish and a huge mama’s girl so leaving her there was absolutely not an option for us. We dealt with the issue by having friends and family come over but soon realized that was asking too much of them. Upon brainstorming a solution, I started to think I needed a “baby sitter” for my dogs and wondered if others had the same needs as we did. Having never heard about pet sitting before, I thought I’d just inventing it – haha! I soon realized that was not the case and very much fell in love with the idea of personalized pet care so much so that I decided to start a new adult career working for the furry, feathery and scaley babies we call our family. This has been the most fulfilling and rewarding career that I’ve ever had.
